The Sr. Manager, Integrated Marketing at Not Your Mother's Haircare is responsible for leading the brand's communications ecosystem across Social Media, Influencer Marketing, and PR. This role oversees the strategic direction, budget management, and performance of all three functions to ensure a cohesive and culturally relevant brand presence across owned, earned, and shared channels. 


Reporting to Storytelling Director, this person will lead internal teams and external agency partners to develop integrated communications strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, and business growth. They are equal parts strategic thinker, creative storyteller, and operational leader, with deep expertise in consumer communications and a strong pulse on culture, creators, and media.

WHO YOU'LL LEAD/COLLABORATE WITH: (supervisory responsibilities) 

  • Lead and mentor the Social Media Manager and Influencer Marketing Manager, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional development.  
  • Oversee agency partners responsible for influencer, PR and media outreach.  
  • Establish clear goals, KPIs, and success metrics for each communications function.  
  • Ensure teams are effectively prioritizing initiatives and executing at a high level.  

HOW YOU'LL MAKE YOUR MARK: 


Communications Strategy & Leadership 

  • Develop and lead an integrated communications strategy across social media, influencer marketing, and PR.  
  • Ensure all communications efforts are aligned with brand priorities, product launches, retail moments, and cultural opportunities.  
  • Create cohesive storytelling across owned, earned, and shared channels to maximize impact and consistency.  
  • Identify new opportunities to elevate brand relevance, visibility, and consumer engagement.  

Budget Management & Resource Allocation 

  • Own the communications budget across social media, influencer marketing, and PR.  
  • Allocate resources to maximize return on investment and support key business priorities.  
  • Manage agency retainers, creator spend, paid amplification, and program-related costs.  
  • Track spending and performance to ensure financial accountability.  

Public Relations & Agency Management 

  • Lead the PR strategy in partnership with the brand's external agency.  
  • Guide media storytelling, product launch support, executive visibility, and award submissions.  
  • Review and approve PR plans, media targets, and performance reports.  
  • Ensure PR efforts are integrated with broader marketing and communications initiatives.  

Social Media Oversight 

  • Oversee the brand's organic and paid social strategy across all channels.  
  • Ensure content strategies are culturally relevant, on-brand, performance-driven and aligned with sales goals. 
  • Monitor channel performance and guide optimization based on insights and trends.  

Influencer Marketing Oversight 

  • Oversee paid partnerships, ambassador programs, and organic seeding initiatives.  
  • Ensure creator strategies align with brand objectives and deliver measurable impact.  
  • Oversee talent recommendations, campaign concepts, and performance reporting.  

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner closely with brand marketing, creative, e-commerce, retail, and paid media teams.  
  • Ensure communications strategies support product launches, promotions, and business goals.  
  • Align internal and external stakeholders around priorities, timelines, and deliverables.  

Analytics, Reporting & Optimization 

  • Consolidate reporting across social, influencer, and PR.  
  • Evaluate performance against KPIs including impressions, engagement, earned media placements, EMV, sentiment, and ROI.  
  • Translate insights into strategic recommendations and continuous improvement opportunities.  

Requirements

 REQUIRED SUPERPOWERS: 

  • Proven experience leading high-performing teams and managing agency partners.  
  • Strong strategic and operational leadership skills, including budget ownership.  
  • Deep understanding of social platforms, creator marketing, media relations, and cultural trends.  
  • Experience in beauty, personal care, fashion, or consumer packaged goods strongly preferred.  
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.  
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate performance data into actionable insights.  
  • Passion for building culturally relevant brands and breakthrough communications programs. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • 6-10 years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, public relations, or integrated communications.  

WHAT IT TAKES DAY-TO-DAY: (physical requirements) 

  • This is an office-based role 
  • Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office and 2 days remote 
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 30% of the time for retailer meetings, brand events, influencer activations, content shoots, and industry events.
