As a Manager, you will lead client engagements, mentor consulting teams, contribute to business development efforts, and help shape the growth of West Monroe's Insurance practice. You will work closely with business and technology executives to solve critical challenges across customer engagement, technology modernization, operations transformation, data and analytics, and AI-enabled business capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives, helping define and implement strategies that drive operational efficiency, growth, and business value
  • Facilitate client workshops focused on the future state of the insurance industry, operating models, business processes, and technology solutions
  • Partner with clients to design and implement customer engagement, technology modernization, automation, and analytics solutions
  • Understand how carriers and brokers leverage data as a strategic asset to improve risk management, reduce losses, and increase enterprise value
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI within claims, contact centers, and other operational functions to improve efficiency and reduce administrative costs
  • Develop executive-level communications, presentations, recommendations, and deliverables that support decision-making and drive project outcomes
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize complex information, and support data-driven recommendations while exercising sound judgment in evaluating outputs
  • Apply AI technologies, including generative AI, automation tools, and advanced analytics capabilities, to improve delivery effectiveness and client outcomes

Project Management

  • Lead multiple client engagements with responsibility for overall project success, quality, budget, and team performance

  • Manage project risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications across business and technology teams
  • Work closely with engagement leadership and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and adoption of solutions
  • Build and lead high-performing project teams composed of West Monroe consultants and client personnel
  • Translate business needs and requirements into actionable project plans, requirements, solution designs, and implementation activities

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and mentor consultants and senior consultants through active performance management, professional development, and career coaching
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and talent development efforts within the Insurance practice

Business and Practice Development

  • Participate in business development activities, including opportunity identification, proposal development, and client presentations
  • Contribute to the growth of the Insurance practice through thought leadership, methodology development, and market-facing initiatives
  • Help expand client relationships and identify opportunities for additional value creation

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of consulting and/or insurance industry experience working directly with external clients
  • Strong understanding of the insurance value chain across carriers and brokerages
  • Demonstrated experience leading business transformation, technology modernization, customer relationship strategies, operations transformation, or data and analytics initiatives
  • Experience managing project teams, workstreams, budgets, and client relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently, display sound judgment, and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
