Job Description

The Project Manager II is responsible for medium to large sized strategic projects that focus on achieving business results. The Project Manager II collaborates with stakeholders to identify appropriate resource needs, assign individual responsibilities, and develop comprehensive schedules to ensure timely completion of the project. The Project Manager II may occasionally be directed in aspects of the work while gaining experience in some of the complex tasks within the job function.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Partner with the business sponsor and key stakeholders to facilitate the development of the project charter for medium to large sized strategic projects.
  • Coordinate the development of the cost benefit analysis for assigned projects.
  • Review and assess detailed project requirements to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Partner with operational leaders to facilitate the development of the project plan.
  • Drive progress throughout project execution to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Create project status reports to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Manage changes to project to ensure deliverables remain aligned with project goals.
  • Position project team for success by ensuring risks are mitigated and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Capture and analyze lessons learned for improvement.
  • Manage project close-out to ensure all project items are complete.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two to four years of experience.
  • Supervisory/management experience not applicable.
  • Must have strong communication, organization, and relationship skills.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile frameworks.
  • Familiarity with scrum master role.
  • Agile/scrum/SAFe certification is preferred.

OCCUPATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The position requires ability to effectively communicate with others to exchange information.
  • A person in this position normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments.
  • The position requires physical presence in company office on full-time basis.
  • No adverse working or environmental conditions expected.
  • This position is an Individual Contributor.

We are open to considering candidates with a range of experience levels; the final level will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and business needs. Compensation will be commensurate with experience and aligned to the level at which the candidate is hired.


This is a 100% in-office position. The role requires consistent on-site presence to support collaboration, real-time decision-making, and effective partnership with cross-functional teams.


The base salary range provided below is for hires in those geographic areas only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.

  • Albany Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00
