Head Housekeeper (Bilingual - English/Spanish)
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Area, TX
Position Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping department at a limited-service hotel in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This leadership role is responsible for maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards, supervising housekeeping staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, and supporting daily hotel operations.
The ideal candidate has previous leadership experience in a limited-service hotel, is bilingual in English and Spanish, and leads by example with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, coach, and motivate the housekeeping team.
  • Assign daily room and public area cleaning schedules.
  • Inspect guest rooms and common areas to ensure brand and company cleanliness standards are consistently met.
  • Ensure rooms are guest-ready in a timely manner.
  • Monitor housekeeping productivity and quality standards.
  • Manage housekeeping inventory, linens, guest supplies, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Order supplies as needed while maintaining cost controls.
  • Coordinate with the Front Desk and Maintenance departments to prioritize room availability and report maintenance issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines.
  • Assist with cleaning rooms and public areas as needed during busy periods.
  • Handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns professionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, inventory, and departmental performance.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.

QualificationsRequired
  • Minimum 4-5 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel environment.
  • At least 3 year of supervisory or leadership experience in housekeeping.
  • Previous experience in a limited-service hotel is required.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is required.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform physical duties, including standing, bending, walking, and climbing stairs throughout the shift.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred
  • Experience with hotel brand standards (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Hyatt, Wyndham, Choice, or similar).
  • Knowledge of housekeeping inventory management and scheduling.
