Area General Manager - HVAC & Plumbing
Advantage Latta-Whitlow  (Topeka, KS)
Competitive Salary + Performance Bonus + Equity Potential

Overview

Advantage Latta-Whitlow are seeking an Area General Manager to lead our established home services brands across  Kansas. This is a multi-site leadership role for an experienced trades operator who owns the P&L, develops strong field teams, and delivers a five-star customer experience at every location. You'll run both branches with the autonomy of an owner and the backing of a growing home services platform - including real equity potential for the leader who drives the results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all operations at both branches to exceed revenue, gross profit, and EBITDA targets
  • Build and manage monthly operating budgets, job costs, margins, and expenses to plan
  • Review and approve invoices, payroll reports, and material and equipment spend
  • Track and drive core metrics: call board, field conversion, average ticket, tech-generated leads, and membership growth
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop technicians and branch leadership; hold teams accountable to scorecards
  • Run daily huddles and monthly one-on-ones with each teammate
  • Maintain a 4.8+ Google rating; review customer feedback daily and resolve issues same-day
  • Partner with marketing monthly to grow demand across both service areas
  • Keep accounts receivable current with no balances past 90 days
  • Own safety training, processes, and reporting; ensure compliance with company policy and state employment law
  • Partner with recruiting monthly to maintain staffing levels and reduce turnover
  • Travel regularly between both locations

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years leading field operations for a residential HVAC and/or plumbing contractor
  • Proven multi-site, multi-branch, or market-level leadership experience
  • Track record managing a portfolio generating $10M+ in annual revenue
  • Full P&L ownership including revenue, margin, and labor cost
  • Strong grasp of job costing, budgeting, and forecast analysis
  • Working knowledge of state and local employment law
  • Proficient with tablets, smartphones, and GPS/mapping tools
  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

  • Why Join Us
  • Equity potential - a real ownership stake for the leader who drives results
  • Multi-site scope leading two established brands with platform-level support
  • Competitive base salary plus performance bonus
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Life insurance, short- and long-term disability
  • Paid time off, 6 paid holidays, and 2 floating holidays
  • A support network of fellow GMs and quarterly leadership development
  • Promotion from within and continued investment in our leaders
