Job description

The Assistant Marketing Manager - Global Accounts will be responsible for the overall Marketing strategy and execution in Global Accounts North America for the Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) division. In this position, the Assistant Marketing Manager will work closely with Global Accounts Sales and our North America Field Team, as well as other associates in RD&E, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Operations, Legal and Finance functions to deliver new business, drive innovation and grow our current programs.

The position will report to the QSR Marketing Manager - Global Accounts

What You Will Do:

  • Support sales growth, retention and profitability through strategic planning and execution of Global Account Marketing programs.
  • Develop in-depth customer, market and industry knowledge - communicate needs and opportunities.
  • Manage major customer distributor relationships and day-to-day communications with major distributor partner.
  • Develop short and long-term strategies and plans for creative, targeted Marketing programs - this includes on-going market research, program development and positioning, pricing strategies and budgeting / forecasting.
  • Execute marketing strategies, programs and pricing strategies which will meet profit objectives for the QSR business unit.
  • Stay current on market standards and practices and understand impact on Ecolab product line and business.
  • Work with the Portfolio team to lead new platforms, products and teams through the Phase Gate process to successful launch, as appropriate.
  • Review product and equipment lines in search of new opportunities or products which should be modified, cost reduced, improved, price increased or discontinued.
  • Assist in developing training programs and sales tools to support the Sales and Field Teams in response to customer and competitive needs.
  • Provide competitive intelligence to field sales to counter competing programs.
  • Lead the cross-functional business team to prioritize resources and deliver results.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five years of professional experience in a business-to-business environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, good attention to detail and use of sound judgment in a fast-paced environment are essential
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships and coordinate projects across different functional groups regionally
  • Must have demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
  • Understanding and commitment to customer priorities
  • Strong problem solving / Analytical Skills
  • Must have well-developed leadership qualities with an ability to create strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA)

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $107,600.00 - $161,500.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
