We're hiring a Field Service Engineer I who thrives in technical environments, enjoys solving problems, and wants to work directly with customers to restore and optimize high-precision equipment.

If you have experience in machining, grinding, or precision equipment and want to expand into field service, this is your opportunity.

What You'll Do

As a Field Service Engineer I, you will be the primary technical contact for customers operating precision grinding equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting machine alignments, calibrations, upgrades, and field modifications
  • Documenting service activities and maintaining accurate reports
  • Escalating complex technical issues to senior engineers when needed
  • Maintaining high standards of safety and quality

You will initially focus on one product line to build deep technical expertise, with opportunities to expand into additional equipment over time.

  • Foundational mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of GD&T and ability to read technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
  • 2-5 years of experience in field service, machining, grinding operations, machine assembly, or industrial equipment support
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Machining, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred

  • Experience with precision grinding equipment
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits, sensors, motors, and controls
  • Mitsubishi controls experience
  • Knowledge of G-Code
  • Experience using a ticket management system

Travel Expectations

  • 50-75% travel required
  • Overnight stays and occasional international travel
  • Work performed in industrial manufacturing environments

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, solving complex technical problems, and building strong customer relationships.

Why Join MMT?

  • Work on highly specialized precision equipment
  • Gain exposure to advanced electro-chemical grinding technology
  • Develop expertise alongside experienced senior engineers
