Job description

About Us
Quanta Power Solutions brings together the industry-leading capabilities and resources of Quanta's operating companies to deliver complete EPC solutions. Our integrated approach spans power generation, battery energy storage, renewables, transmission, substation, and underground infrastructure - from concept to commissioning, we execute complex power infrastructure projects with the speed, certainty, and operational excellence our customers depend on.
At Quanta Power Solutions, we are driven by a culture of safety, integrity, and disciplined execution - and we're building a team that shares that commitment.
About this Role
Quanta Power Solutions is seeking an External Communications & Digital Strategist to own the company's external communication strategy, working with leaders to define and shape how the company brand shows up in the market. In addition to supporting the business with traditional media, this role has a primary focus on building and executing a cohesive strategy that builds brand awareness, engages key defined audiences, and drives measurable results. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, strong creative instincts, and a data-driven approach to continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
Editorial & Content Ownership
  • Own and execute the external editorial calendar by sourcing, packaging, and publishing compelling content that delivers key company messages across multiple formats in ways that impact key external audiences.
  • Drive external core messaging through core beat focused on recruitment, retention, culture, job status, job-site community stories, partnership wins, etc.
  • Develop and maintain a living marketing and brand hub - PowerPoint decks, videos, images, talking points, and other reusable elements the business can leverage and localize to support the business.
  • Develop a strategy to track and support the company's participation in third party organizations and events, including industry associations, sponsorship and events.

Social media
  • Build a cohesive strategy grounded in core messaging and aligned with business objectives that transforms a stream of individual posts into a coordinated program.
  • Define target audiences and tailor platform-specific approaches that reflect each channel's culture and format.
  • Establish content pillars and themes that keep messaging consistent and on-brand.
  • Conduct social listening to monitor brand and competitor sentiment, feeding insights back into strategy.
  • Manage community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, on-brand manner
  • Track performance against goals using meaningful metrics (engagement, reach, click-throughs, conversions, sentiment). Continuously test and refine formats, and messaging based on performance data, and stay current on platform changes, features, and emerging trends
  • Coordinate paid and organic efforts to maximize overall impact.

cross-functional
  • Partner with the Internal Communications Strategist to repurpose and optimize content across audiences.

What You'll Bring
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in external communications or marketing (portfolio of examples required)
  • Demonstrated success building and managing social media strategy across company and executive accounts, including analytics and reporting.

Technical Skills and behavioral attributes
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva. Baseline experience with web and video.
  • Strong understanding of major social platforms and their distinct audiences and best practices, including scheduling and analytics tools
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate metrics into actionable insights
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills paired with a sharp visual and content sensibility. Strong storytelling instincts, and the ability to translate complex or technical information for a broad office and frontline audience.
  • Proficient in AP style.
  • Comfort collaborating with design and video resources to produce reusable brand assets.
  • Strong collaborator able to both lead and follow projects.
  • Proven ability to manage an editorial calendar across multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated understanding of people and ability to pivot messages real-time for multiple stakeholders.
  • Operational rigor, adaptability, and sound judgment under pressure. Proven ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, maintaining a steady presence when challenges arise.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet firm, non-negotiable deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage numerous moving parts simultaneously without error.
  • Strong problem-solving and improvisation abilities, including contingency planning and real-time decision-making.
  • Positive, solutions-oriented mindset when faced with challenges, focusing on what's possible rather than what's gone wrong. Approaches problems with optimism and resilience, consistently seeing opportunities where others see obstacles.
  • Continuous learning mindset, willing to own mistakes, learn from others, deliver feedback to all levels, and foster a culture grounded in getting better every day.
  • Understanding of AI and ability leverage technology for efficiency and ideas.
