Overview:

We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow professional to implement and configure Event Management integration with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM). This role ensures seamless event ingestion, correlation, and alerting within the ServiceNow platform to improve incident response and operational visibility.

ย Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure ServiceNow Event Management to receive and process alerts from SCOM.
  • Set up MID Server and Event Connector for secure communication between SCOM and ServiceNow.
  • Define and implement event rules, alert correlation, and deduplication logic.
  • Map SCOM alerts to appropriate CI classes in the CMDB for accurate impact analysis.
  • Create operational dashboards and event filters for real-time monitoring.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and monitoring teams to validate event flow and troubleshoot integration issues.
  • Document integration steps, workflows, and best practices for ongoing support.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Event Management and IntegrationHub.
  • Strong knowledge of SCOM architecture and alerting mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with MID Server configuration and event connectors.
  • Understanding of CMDB relationships and impact analysis.
  • Ability to design event correlation rules and remediation workflows.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist โ€“ Event Management.
  • ITIL Foundation level knowledge
  • Experience with other monitoring tools (e.g., Cisco DNA, ServiceNow ACC, Dynatrace) and integrations with ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of ITOM Suite (Discovery, Service Mapping).
