General Accountability

The Manager, Global Events & Medical Education is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of global congresses, trade shows, clinical advisory boards, and physician education programs. This role ensures consistent, high-quality execution across North America and international markets while supporting commercial objectives through effective event delivery and medical education programs.

Reporting into Global Marketing, this position partners closely with Sales (US and International), Clinical, and Commercial Leadership to execute programs that support clinical adoption and brand presence.


Duties and Responsibilities

Global Events Planning & Execution

  • Plan and execute North American and international congresses, trade shows, and industry meetings in alignment with commercial priorities
  • Manage end-to-end logistics including booth planning, vendor coordination, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up
  • Oversee event budgets and track performance metrics to evaluate effectiveness
  • Maintain global event calendars and project management systems to ensure seamless execution
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and strong field alignment
  • Develop and maintain best practices and operational standards for conferences and trade shows
  • Establish ROI metrics and OKRs that align with global marketing OKRs
  • Own annual event budget planning, forecasting, and ongoing budget management across global congresses, trade shows, physician programs, and medical education activities
  • Develop and maintain event budget trackers to monitor spend, identify risks, and ensure alignment with approved financial targets
  • Manage vendor negotiations, contracts, and cost optimization efforts to maximize event impact and return on investment
  • Partner with Finance and Global Marketing leadership to provide regular budget updates, accrual reporting, and variance analysis
  • Track and reconcile event expenses, invoices, and purchase orders to ensure timely processing and financial accuracy
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings while maintaining high-quality event execution


Medical Education Program Execution

  • Plan and execute Clinical Advisory Boards, peer-to-peer programs, PRO-Talk meetings, and physician education events
  • Coordinate physician contracting, honoraria, compliance documentation, invoicing, and payment processing
  • Support identification and onboarding of new KOLs in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate logistics for internal and external procedural training programs
  • Assist in development and distribution of educational materials to support medical education initiatives.


Operational & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Global Marketing to ensure consistency across global events and physician engagements
  • Support Sales teams with event logistics and materials to drive productive physician engagement
  • Manage inventory and deployment of marketing collateral and promotional materials
  • Coordinate event-related communications including invitations and follow-up materials
  • Provide operational support for special projects and additional marketing initiatives as needed.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $90,000 - $130,000 CAD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and job-related factors. This role may also be eligible for participation in the company's benefits programs, such as a group RRSP and medical benefits paid by the employer.
