Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

As part of a small, passionate team, you will work on regulatory compliance efforts for New Glenn, its payloads, and its launch facilities. This critical role supports regulatory compliance efforts on the New Glenn program focused on US Space Force (USSF) real property agreements and related approvals; Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Office of Commercial Space Transportation vehicle operator licenses and modifications; and environmental review documents prepared pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). You will provide leadership in ensuring the regulatory compliance efforts are coordinated effectively to enable the New Glenn launch vehicle program schedule.

To be successful in this role, you will develop and maintain positive relationships across the New Glenn program and our US government partners at the USSF, FAA, United States Coast Guard, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and other international government partners. You must be proactive in developing the strategy associated with sophisticated products across many technical subject areas while also developing, delivering, and communicating results in support of government requests. You will support developing, reviewing, and managing products to support facility construction/modification and vehicle operations. Lastly, you must have the resourcefulness and flexibility to perform at a high-level in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be an incredible team member!

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering/science or an equivalent technical management field
  • Proven experience with large-scale, development aerospace program
  • Meaningful and demonstrable experience with USSF, FAA, and other US government requirements for launch vehicles, payloads, and launch sites
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Use excellent judgement and be comfortable making high-quality and high-velocity decisions
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong track record of product ownership
  • Ability to earn trust and develop positive and inclusive relationships
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA

Compensation Range for:

CA applicants is $145,188.00 - $203,263.20 CO applicants is $133,500.00 - $186,898.95 WA applicants is $145,188.00 - $203,263.20

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
