  • Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and field personnel to identify project-specific material requirements
  • Obtain pricing, availability, and delivery timelines from electrical distributors and suppliers
  • Source and purchase electrical materials, components, and equipment for commercial construction and service projects
  • Track orders and coordinate with vendors to ensure materials are delivered according to project schedules
  • Identify alternative products or substitutions when materials are unavailable or lead times change
  • Assist with gathering pricing and material information to support estimating and project budgeting efforts
  • Maintain accurate purchasing documentation including purchase orders, order confirmations, and invoices
  • Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve order discrepancies or delivery issues
  • Support additional purchasing or administrative tasks as needed to assist the department
Requirements:

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, equipment submittals, one-line diagrams, and manufacturer specifications preferred
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to interpret amperage, voltage, wattage, and related specifications when sourcing equipment and materials
