Job description

Job Title: Program Manager (Ecommerce)

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – Monday through Thursday onsite, Friday work from home)

Duration: 6+ Months

 Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager (Ecommerce) to lead large-scale enterprise application and software delivery programs within a retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional initiatives, driving customer-facing software projects, and delivering strategic business outcomes. This role requires a highly organized, hands-on leader who can manage multiple workstreams, communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, and ensure successful program execution from planning through deployment.

 Key Responsibilities
  • Lead large-scale enterprise programs involving ecommerce platforms, software applications, and system integrations.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project deliverables.
  • Oversee multiple workstreams while ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivery timelines.
  • Monitor project scope, budgets, schedules, risks, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, technical leads, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Drive program governance through regular status reporting, steering committee meetings, and executive communications.
  • Manage project estimation, planning, deployment, and post-implementation activities.
  • Identify process improvements and recommend operational efficiencies.
  • Support prioritization of initiatives in partnership with delivery and business leaders.
  • Mentor project managers and contribute to team development and continuous improvement.
 Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of Program Management experience leading large-scale enterprise initiatives.
  • Proven experience managing a portfolio of complex software development and enterprise application projects.
  • Strong experience delivering customer-facing software solutions.
  • Hands-on experience creating detailed project plans, managing multiple workstreams, and driving execution.
  • Strong expertise in project scope, schedule, budget, resource, risk, and issue management.
  • Experience working in Agile and SDLC environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and executive teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment.
  • Confident leadership style with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
 Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within the Retail or Ecommerce industry.
  • Understanding of end-to-end ecommerce ecosystems, including customer-facing applications and backend enterprise systems.
  • Experience managing enterprise application integrations involving order management, supply chain, inventory, and ecommerce platforms.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across business and technology organizations.
