To thrive as a Product Manager E Commerce, you need a solid background in product lifecycle management, e-commerce platforms, and data analysis, usually supported by relevant business or technical degrees. Familiarity with tools such as Shopify, Magento, Google Analytics, Jira, and A/B testing platforms, as well as certifications like Scrum or Agile, is highly advantageous. Strong communication, leadership, and strategic thinking skills help you collaborate effectively and drive cross-functional teams toward shared goals. Together, these skills enable you to understand customer needs, prioritize features, and deliver successful products in the fast-paced digital commerce landscape.
Product Managers in E Commerce often face challenges such as balancing competing priorities across multiple stakeholders, staying ahead of rapid industry changes, and making data-driven decisions amidst evolving customer expectations. They must work closely with teams in marketing, development, and design to deliver seamless online shopping experiences while keeping site performance and conversion rates high. Adapting quickly to market trends and new technologies is also essential in this dynamic environment. Overcoming these challenges requires a proactive mindset, solid communication skills, and the ability to keep both short-term goals and long-term strategy in focus for continuous product improvement.
A Product Manager E-Commerce oversees the strategy, development, and optimization of digital products for an online business. They work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to enhance the user experience and drive business growth. Their responsibilities often include managing the product roadmap, analyzing customer data, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring seamless platform functionality. Strong analytical skills, customer focus, and technical understanding are essential for success in this role.

We are seeking an experienced E-Commerce Product Manager to own the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of a modern e-commerce platform.
This role combines product management, merchandising operations, digital support enablement, and cross-functional execution to ensure a high-performing online customer experience. The Product Manager will oversee product delivery, operational workflows, analytics-driven enhancements, and support processes while partnering closely with engineering and business stakeholders.
Over time, this individual will help transition the organization from an engineering-heavy delivery model to a scalable in-house product operations function.
Core Responsibilities:
Product Management & Delivery
Own and prioritize the e-commerce product backlog, balancing enhancements, operational improvements, and platform stability.
Define epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
Coordinate discovery efforts using customer feedback, analytics, and business priorities.
Lead business-side release planning, UAT, and stakeholder communication.
Monitor and improve key performance indicators, including conversion, checkout performance, search effectiveness, and overall site health.
Merchandising & Content Operations
Manage onsite merchandising, navigation, landing pages, and promotional content.
Maintain CMS content and merchandising priorities across the website.
Partner with Marketing on SEO, site optimization, and customer experience initiatives.
Digital Support & Operations
Own day-to-day e-commerce support processes and oversee first-line issue triage through the Support Engineer.
Coordinate incident response with Engineering and business stakeholders.
Prioritize customer and operational issues and improve internal workflows supporting Customer Service and Operations.
Develop and maintain documentation, operational playbooks, and support processes.
Analytics & Optimization
Maintain dashboards and operational KPIs.
Define analytics requirements and validate tracking implementation.
Coordinate customer feedback programs, including surveys, heatmaps, and session-replay tools.
Drive A/B testing initiatives and translate insights into prioritized product improvements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent relevant work experience).
7+ years of experience in e-commerce product management, digital product management, product ownership, or e-commerce operations.
Experience managing transactional e-commerce websites and improving core customer journeys, including search and browse, product detail pages, cart and checkout, and post-purchase experiences.
Proven ability to partner closely with software engineering teams in Agile environments, including backlog management, user story creation, acceptance criteria, release planning, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Customer Support, Operations, and Engineering teams.
Experience with modern e-commerce platforms such as Shopware, Magento/Adobe Commerce, or similar solutions.
Strong understanding of release planning, change management, incident management, and production support processes.
Working knowledge of Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), dashboard creation, and KPI reporting.
Experience with CMS administration, website merchandising, analytics, and A/B testing methodologies.
Strong prioritization, decision-making, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Customer-focused mindset with a high degree of operational ownership and accountability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions and coordinate incident response efforts.
Experience in B2B commerce, high-SKU or catalog-heavy businesses, and industries such as industrial, automotive, equipment, manufacturing, distribution, or parts is strongly preferred.
Nice to Have:
