Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 5+ years of experience for a high-volume structural echo lab supporting inpatient, ICU, and outpatient populations.

Details
  • High-volume structural echo lab supporting inpatient, ICU, and outpatient populations
  • Procedures include TEE, stress echo, complete TTE with Lumason contrast, 3D imaging, strain imaging, and structural echos (TAVRs, Mitral Clips, MVRs, TVRs, ASD closures)
  • Experience with patients on devices such as LVAD, Impella, and ECMO
  • Supports organ recovery center (ORC) and a spine center
  • Sonographers enter preliminary reports in collaboration with cardiologists
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, Friday through Monday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • One week of on-call required twice during the 13-week contract
  • Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of echo/cardiac sonography experience
  • Active professional licensure required if applicable
  • Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration
  • Must be available to work the posted Friday–Monday schedule with no alternate shift or schedule requests
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted for this position
  • RTO is capped at 7 days and may not be requested during the first week of the assignment
  • Holiday coverage is required: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two
  • Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
  • Travelers who have previously worked at this facility system must have been away for a full year before returning
  • Two supervisory references (manager level or above) are highly preferred; charge nurse references are not accepted
  • RTO dates must be finalized and submitted upfront
