We are seeking a dependable and detail oriented Mobile Service Marine Technician to join our Service team. As a Mobile Service Marine Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of various marine equipment and systems, ensuring the highest levels of service for our clients. The technician will work with both recreational and commercial vessels, diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and providing technical expertise to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on marine engines, electrical systems, and equipment.
  • Install new equipment and accessories per customer specifications.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to provide updates on repairs and services.
  • Maintain accurate service records and manage parts inventory.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards during all tasks.
  • Keep accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of repairs and customer feedback.
  • Occasionally work on-site or travel to various locations for vessel inspections, emergency repairs, and customer service calls.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations when performing work, ensuring that all tasks are completed in compliance with marine industry standards and safety protocols.

Requirements
  • Mercury Certified Technician (preferred)
  • Strong technical knowledge of marine engines, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
  • Proficient in the use of marine diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain engines, systems, and mechanical components.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, bend, kneel, and work in various environmental conditions (wet, hot, cold, etc.).
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by service demands.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites or service locations, as needed.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Must possess and maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and remain eligible to operate company vehicles in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.
  • Stamina to stand, kneel, crouch, and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Capable of working in various environmental conditions (e.g., wet, hot, or cold environments).
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in elevated or confined spaces on boats or vessels.
  • Dexterity to handle tools, equipment, and small parts accurately.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, with occasional weekend or emergency assignments.
This role is based in a boat manufacturing or repair facility. The work environment may involve exposure to chemicals and fumes, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
