LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Lead .NET Software Engineer for a hybrid onsite contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in the Rosemont, IL area. Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable web applications and services using modern Microsoft technologies Provide hands-on technical leadership, actively contributing to development, code reviews, and day-to-day delivery Build and maintain applications using C#, ASP.NET Core/.NET Core, JavaScript frameworks, and SQL Server Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services supporting enterprise applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, user-focused solutions Guide architectural decisions and promote development best practices and coding standards Support CI/CD pipeline development, deployment automation, and environment management Contribute to modernization efforts, helping evolve the technology stack and development approach Lead and support development within the Optimizely platform, including CMS customization, content modeling, integrations, and platform enhancements as the environment is established Partner with business and product stakeholders to align Optimizely-driven solutions with broader application architecture and enterprise capabilities Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability across systems Mentor and support developers, fostering a strong engineering culture Troubleshoot production issues and ensure timely resolution Other responsibilities as assigned Requirements: 5+ years of software development experience in a Microsoft technology environment Recent experience in a Lead or Senior-level software engineering role with technical leadership responsibilities Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET Core/.NET Core, and SQL Server Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, such as Vue.js (preferred), React or Angular Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and backend services Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions Strong understanding of Git workflows, including branching strategies and pull request reviews Experience working in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS Experience configuring &/or administrating CMS or Digital Experience Platforms such as Optimizely (preferred), Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Drupal, Umbraco, etc

Strong understanding of application architecture, performance optimization, and scalable design principles Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership skills Candidate must be able to effectively communicate in English (written & verbal) Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer Corp to Corp candidates will not be considered The base range for this contract position is $60.00 - $75.00 per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations
