  • Lead, develop, and scale the Credit Risk Management function, including succession planning, talent development, role design, and capacity planning to support Invenergy's long-term strategic growth.

  • Provide oversight and approval of counterparty credit risk assessments, including complex or highexposure counterparties, establishing adjudication standards and escalation protocols across the credit risk organization.

  • Establish and maintain governance over credit risk data, systems, and controls, including accountability for data integrity within energy trading and risk management systems used for exposure monitoring and reporting.

  • Direct the development and delivery of portfolio-level credit risk reporting, including dashboards, watchlists, and executive summaries provided to senior management and governance committees.

  • Oversee enterprise-wide monitoring of counterparty credit exposure, collateral postings, and credit limits, serving as the primary escalation point for material exposure concerns and risk mitigation actions.

  • Set standards for communication of credit decisions, risk assessments, and contractual security requirements, ensuring consistent, timely, and transparent engagement with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.

  • Maintain accountability for margining and collateral management practices, including oversight of margin call processes with bilateral trading counterparties and wholesale energy markets.

  • Monitor market dynamics, regulatory developments, and counterparty risk trends across Invenergy's multinational footprint, translating external developments into actionable risk insights and strategic recommendations.

  • Provide senior leadership oversight of industry-wide vendor and counterparty benchmarking, including preparation and review of approval materials supporting significant credit decisions.

  • Lead credit-related aspects of enabling agreement negotiations, setting strategy for credit provisions and coordinating closely with Trading and Legal to ensure alignment with risk policy and commercial objectives.

  • Ensure enterprise compliance with Credit Risk, Risk Management, and related policies, embedding controls and accountability throughout credit risk operations.

  • Report regularly to the Energy Risk Management Committee and other governance bodies on credit risk posture, emerging risks, policy effectiveness, and recommended actions; sponsor and defend proposed policy changes as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., MBA, CFA) preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in credit risk management, or related disciplines, including demonstrated leadership responsibility within a complex, capitalintensive or tradingoriented environment.

  • Extensive experience in credit analysis and credit risk management within the energy or related industries, with a deep understanding of industry trends impacting Invenergy's development, supply chain, and trading activities.

  • Expertlevel understanding of counterparty credit risk, including financial statement analysis, exposure modeling, collateral structures, and credit limit frameworks.
