Job description

ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Description

Oversees the Accounting Department and leads financial reporting, accounting

operations, and internal controls to ensure accurate financial information and compliance.

Manages accounting staff, month-end close processes, tax filings, policies, and cross-functional

accounting support while driving process improvements and team

development. Recruits and hires accounting staff and conducts performance evaluations.

Coordinates training programs for new staff and identifies needs for current staff.

Essential Functions

  • Establishes process and procedure for all accounting transactions.
  • Responsible for the orderly closing of the books.
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and year-end and consolidated financial statements.
  • Reviews the monthly general ledger.
  • Reviews subsidiary internal monthly financial statements and Japanese monthly financial reports.
  • Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
  • Coordinates subsidiary and other ailiated company reporting.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management
  • Prepare special reports, as needed.
  • Assists in miscellaneous duties within the department

  • Executive General Manager

SUBORDINATE STAFF

  • Accounting Financial group

KNOWLEDGE

  • Accounting degree, with Big 4 background preferred, or equivalent business experience.
  • Eight years or more of related experience required
  • CPA preferred, but not required
  • Skills
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficient in accounting software.
  • Syteline software experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, data analysis).
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and optimize software tools and systems.
