Position Overview
Novatech is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead and develop our Business Development team. This role is responsible for managing a team of Business Development Representatives, driving pipeline generation results, creating accountability, and ensuring the team delivers a consistent flow of qualified opportunities to the sales organization.
The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with experience coaching, developing, and motivating business development or inside sales professionals in a metrics-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of Business Development Representatives
  • Establish clear expectations, goals, and performance standards
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, call reviews, and performance discussions
  • Monitor activity, conversion, and opportunity-generation metrics
  • Drive accountability to team goals and key performance indicators
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to support pipeline growth initiatives
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members
  • Create and implement best practices for prospecting and lead generation
  • Ensure CRM compliance and reporting accuracy
  • Foster a positive, high-performance culture focused on development and results
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leadership to support business growth objectives

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of sales leadership, business development leadership, inside sales leadership, or related management experience
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing sales professionals
  • Strong understanding of outbound prospecting and pipeline generation
  • Proven ability to drive performance through coaching and accountability
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with CRM platforms and sales performance reporting
  • Strong organizational, planning, and leadership capabilities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading BDR, SDR, or Inside Sales teams
  • Technology, Managed IT Services, SaaS, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, or Business Services experience
  • Experience hiring and developing successful sales professionals
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
