Join our dynamic team as a cross-functional Systems Engineer where you'll play a vital role in empowering Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC) with cutting-edge training and expertise in RF, crypto, systems, and network devices. As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by sharing your in-depth knowledge of tactical networks, antenna theory, radio wave propagation, and field expedient antenna system design. You'll work with advanced radio systems, including AN/PRC-160, AN/PRC-163, and AN/PRC-167, and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in C5I technologies. Your expertise in MANET waveforms, crypto devices, and 'system of system' environments will be invaluable in driving our mission forward. You will also have the opportunity to identify and support new project start-ups that provide engineering services to our dynamic customer. Responsibilities will include:
* Designing and delivering comprehensive training programs for NSW communications systems
* Developing and maintaining training materials, including courseware, manuals, and simulation tools
* Conducting training sessions and providing expert instruction to NSW operators
* Evaluating operator proficiency and providing feedback to ensure mission readiness
* Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in NSW tactical communications, network and cyber/IT technologies and incorporating these into training programs
* Assist with the design and integration efforts of C5I technologies (e.g. radio, telecommunication, IT, and computer networks) across Navy craft and ships, other maritime platforms, and transit case based systems
* Maintain strong relationships with key customers, teammates and vendors
The ideal candidate will have strong verbal communication skills and be comfortable speaking to a large audience and provide expert knowledge and training on a broad range of communications systems. He/She should have a spirit of continuous learning, incorporating the last technologies into design concepts and training courses and strong writing abilities to develop technical documentation and training course material.
This position is located in San Diego. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to San Diego or surrounding areas.
Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (engineering, computer science, or IT) and 4 years of experience with military and/or DoD communication systems (Additional experience may be substituted for the degree)
  • Prior military NSW or SOF C5I design and support experience supporting craft/ships
  • Prior training and/or curriculum developer experience
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written at all levels within the company and within the customer community

  • Strong skills in technical writing
