Job description

As a Finance Supervisor, you're not just supporting the hotel's financial operations - you're spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Responsibilities
Here's a list of the Key Responsibilities:
Finance & Month-End Close
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Review General Ledger activity and assist with journal entries and accruals.
  • Prepare financial reports, analyses, and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare financial reports, analyses, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and maintain compliance with Hilton policies and internal controls.
  • Carries out any other reasonable duties, responsibilities, special projects, and assignments as directed by management in support of the Finance and Purchasing functions.

Accounts Payable
  • Supervise Accounts Payable activities, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and timely.
  • Review invoice coding, approvals, vendor statements, and payment schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, approval authorities, and documentation requirements.
  • Assist with vendor account reconciliations and resolution of payment discrepancies.
    Purchasing & Inventory Control
  • Assist purchasing, receiving, and storeroom operations to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure purchase orders, requisitions, receiving records, and invoices are properly matched and approved.
  • Monitor inventory controls and supports monthly inventory counts and reconciliations.
  • Review receiving activity and investigate pricing, quantity, or inventory variances.
  • Support cost-control initiatives and maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records

Comply with Hilton Rules, Policies and Regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
  • Perform essential accounting functions: Supervise and execute tasks across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and General Accounting to support financial operations
  • Address questions and disputes: Research and respond to inquiries and partner with internal and external parties to resolve disputes promptly
  • Participate in financial reporting: Assist with the production of monthly accounts, month-end responsibilities, and internal controls over financial data
  • Assist with financial communication: Report financial results and aid in understanding financial matters for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate for success: Supervise, coach and mentor accounting clerk team members. Build and maintain cooperative relationships with management and other hotel and corporate departments
