Registered Nurse (RN) - Intermediate Medical Care (IMC)
Job Type: Full-time | Variable 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday rotation

Up to $20,000 bonus for eligible candidates

Our Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) Unit is a 42-bed department where Registered Nurses provide comprehensive, direct care to patients and their families. RNs practice to the full scope of their license in alignment with organizational policies and standards.

Working under the direction of the Nurse Manager, nurses function as key members of a patient-focused care team, collaborating to implement individualized care plans and drive positive patient outcomes. The team is actively engaged in continuous performance improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care.

This unit specializes in the management of acute cardiac patients, including those requiring invasive line management and care following carotid and femoral procedures. Nurses are skilled in delivering appropriate interventions, therapies, and monitoring expected outcomes, with a focus on adult and geriatric populations.

Shifts are 12 hours, with both day (7A) and night (7P) opportunities available.

How you'll contribute 

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments

What we're looking for 
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS Certification
  • One-year acute cardiovascular care experience or other comparable nursing experience
  • ASLS certification preferred
