Job Overview

The Warehouse General Laborer performs general warehouse duties to include maintaining warehouse cleaning and housekeeping, damage restack and, or rework, stacking product, picking up down pallets, and other tasks associated with maintaining an efficient and safe warehouse operation to support business needs.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Completes assigned cleaning and housekeeping tasks as assigned or determined by the warehouse cleaning schedule
  • Gathers, records, and organizes all warehouse damages in the appropriate designated area of the warehouse and provides the properly completed documentation to the inventory personnel
  • Reworks all salvageable cases of warehouse damage into saleable cases and returns them to the pick floor, while completing and providing inventory personnel with the appropriate documentation
  • Organizes and reworks all salvageable cases of trade damages into saleable cases within its appropriate designated area and returns them to the pick floor, while completing and providing inventory personnel with the appropriate documentation
  • Performs other tasks which may be assigned by Warehouse Management including, but not limited to, damage restack and, or rework, stacking product, picking up down pallets utilizing a pallet jack, as determined

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere while walking and repetitively lifting 30 lbs.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team environment
  • Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes
  • Ability to adapt to needs of role in different work areas throughout the workday and meet minimum expectations of those different work areas
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions from a computer screen
  • Attention to detail and ability to differentiate our packages
  • Ability to work in a noisy and non-climate controlled (hot in summer, cold in winter) environment
  • Intentional self-starter who takes initiative and proactively seeks out value-add opportunities
  • Flexibility (Schedules, Hours change with the demands of the business)

Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge acquired through 0 to up to 12years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification: Pallet Jack and Floor Scrubber

Noisy and non-temperature-controlled environment (hot in summer/cold in winter)
