Job Description
The Customer Shipping Lead oversees daily shipping operations to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. The role assigns tasks, reviews documentation, and supports team members while maintaining safety and efficiency. Candidates need shipping or warehouse experience and strong computer and WMS skills.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 3pm to 11pm
Overtime Expectations
  • Occasional overtime may be required, including Saturdays, when business needs demand it.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day functions within the Customer Shipping department to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on schedule
  • Assign daily tasks and provide directions to team members to maintain an efficient workflow
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status updates, delivery timelines, and shipment-related concerns
  • Review and ensure accuracy of all shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and labels, and verify shipments meet customer and carrier standards
  • Provide hands-on guidance, training, and coaching to shipping team members while supporting continuous improvement and safety procedures.

  • Fast-paced warehouse environment requiring standing, walking, and hands-on work throughout the shift

Qualifications
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience
  • Prior experience in shipping, warehouse operations, or logistics
  • Experience in a lead role or taking on leadership responsibilities (training team members, coordinating tasks, etc.)
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and shipping platforms
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to track, analyze, and report operational data confidently
