Traveling Commercial Site Superintendent โ€“ Lead Ground Up Retail Builds for V&O Services Inc.

The Opportunity:

You will serve as a key field operational leader, managing large-scale commercial ground up projects from raw site work to final handover. This role empowers you to drive project timelines while backed by an organization that genuinely stands behind its team on every jobsite. You will have full ownership of your builds, ensuring safety, efficiency, and exceptional quality for our clients.


How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Manage overall daily ground up commercial construction operations to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Direct civil works, site preparation, and structural construction activities while enforcing site safety protocols.
  • Push subcontractors to maintain strict deadlines without compromising on quality or safety standards.
  • Resolve complex on-site technical and logistical challenges independently to prevent costly project delays.
  • Maintain professional client relations and manage site communications effectively to keep projects moving forward.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and inspect site conditions to ensure full compliance with OSHA standards.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of commercial site superintendent experience focused on ground up retail or big box builds.
  • Extensive technical familiarity with civil site work, grading, utilities, and structural construction phases.
  • Proven track record of managing and pushing subcontractors effectively to meet aggressive build schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve site challenges independently while maintaining professional client communication.
  • Must possess an active OSHA 10 certification and an absolute willingness to travel 100% for project assignments.
  • Proficiency with ProCore
  • Must pass drug test


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Advanced safety and equipment operational certifications (OSHA 30, Fall Protection, Scissor/Boom Lifts).
  • Prior experience managing multi-million dollar retail commercial developments in high-demand markets.
