This role offers hands‑on experience across infrastructure management, DevOps practices, and cloud automation—ideal for someone ready to grow their cloud engineering skills in a production environment with a strong emphasis on cloud security best practices.

You will work directly with the Lead Cloud Engineer on daily cloud operations, infrastructure support, deployment pipelines, and platform improvements while developing expertise in Azure, DevOps, cloud security, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Infrastructure & Operations (40%)

  • Support management and optimization of Azure App Services, Function Apps, storage accounts, and API Management.
  • Assist with deployments and management of application environments (UAT, staging, production) following reliability and security best practices.
  • Help troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure or application availability issues, document findings and contribute to preventative measures.
  • Assist with infrastructure monitoring using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
  • Support identity and access configurations (VNets, RBAC, managed identities) under guidance.

  • Support maintenance and updates to Azure DevOps pipelines (build, release, YAML-based) for .NET 9 applications in Savas.ASC repositories.
  • Assist with implementing and improving automated testing, security scanning, and artifact management within CI/CD workflows.
  • Support application deployments across environments with guidance from the Lead Engineer.
  • Contribute to troubleshooting pipeline failures and documenting deployment procedures.
  • Support Azure DevOps platform administration, including project configuration, permissions, and process improvements.
  • Assist with integrating security tools and scanning into deployment pipelines (container scanning, SAST, dependency management).

Cloud Security Best Practices (10%)

  • Apply cloud security best practices across infrastructure, deployments, and configurations.
  • Support identity and access management (IAM) tasks: Azure AD app registrations, managed identities, and RBAC reviews.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining security controls for regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2).
  • Help identify security vulnerabilities and support remediation efforts.
  • Contribute to security awareness and advocate for secure-by-default practices in cloud operations.

Infrastructure-as-Code & Automation (5%)

  • Support writing and maintenance of Infrastructure-as-Code using Bicep or Terraform under guidance.
  • Assist with developing and improving PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate routine operational tasks.
  • Help version control infrastructure code in Git with proper documentation.

M365 & Cloud Services Support (5%)

  • Assist with Microsoft 365 cloud service administration and maintenance.
  • Support user provisioning, licensing, and basic troubleshooting for M365 services.
  • Help maintain M365 security and compliance configurations.

Documentation & Governance (5%)

  • Help document cloud architecture, deployment procedures, and operational processes.
  • Assist with maintaining system inventory, tagging standards, and resource naming conventions.
  • Support compliance documentation (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2) under guidance.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of cloud engineering, infrastructure, or IT operations experience (Azure preferred).
  • Hands‑on experience with Azure services: App Services, Functions, VNets, RBAC, and basic monitoring.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repositories, artifact management) or similar CI/CD platforms.
