Overview

What You’ll Be Doing

Cadmus is seeking an entry level DevOps Engineer to be part of our DevOps team supporting a multi-year CMS contract. The candidate will report to the DevOps Manager and will be a member of a Scrum team working in Agile Safe and DevSecOps culture. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and maintain cloud-based infrastructure (AWS). The applications are built using a combination of technologies such as Java, Python, Angular, React, Node.js technologies with AWS native services.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of technologies like Microservices architecture, Sigle Sign On, F5, AWS Serverless, SQS, SNS, SES, S3, DynamoDB and AWS related Infrastructure services. Should be committed to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality products are important.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting smooth CI/CD processes for software development

  • Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of DevOps tools, frameworks, and technologies that support product development.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in DevOps, software development, cloud engineering, or related technical fields, including internships

  • Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and DevOps methodologies

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts using tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, or CloudFormation

  • Familiarity with Docker and containerization concepts. Exposure to container orchestration platforms is a plus

  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS

  • Knowledge of source control and CI/CD tools such as GitHub and Jenkins

  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python

  • Understanding of Linux/UNIX operating systems

  • Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, or Splunk is a plus

  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and API concepts is a plus

  • AWS or other cloud certifications are a strong plus

  • College coursework or academic projects related to Cloud Computing, DevOps, Networking, or System Administration are highly preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen.

The minimum starting salary for this position is $75,000. The actual salary may be higher and will be determined by several factors, including relevant work experience, education, skills, and market competitiveness.
