Description
Ketel Thorstenson, LLP (KT) is seeking an experienced Accounting Services Manager to join our Client Accounting Services team in our Casper, WY office location.
In this role, you will lead client engagements, oversee accounting operations, and manage and develop staff while delivering high-quality outsourced accounting services. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and play a key role in driving client relationships, team performance, and operational success.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage client engagements, delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services
  • Review and oversee staff work, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and build long-term relationships
  • Lead onboarding of new clients and ensure a smooth transition into CAS services
  • Manage workflow, deadlines, and resource allocation across the team
  • Provide technical guidance and resolve complex accounting and compliance issues
  • Mentor, coach, and develop staff, including providing feedback and supporting professional growth
  • Support recruitment, training, and performance management processes
  • Collaborate with partners on client strategy, service expansion, and business development opportunities
  • Stay current on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a client service or public accounting environment
  • Experience reviewing accounting work and managing engagements
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience managing client relationships and serving as a primary point of contact
  • Experience supervising or mentoring staff
  • Experience working with multiple clients or across industries
  • Experience with accounting software and financial systems
  • Strong communication and client service skills

Additional Information
Work Schedule & Location:
  • Full-time position
  • Standard schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
  • Additional hours may be required during peak periods
  • Based in our Casper, WY office location.
