Position Summary:
The Vascular Sonographer demonstrates a clear understanding of vascular anatomy and physiology. Responsible for being well versed in defects and diseases of the circulatory system and know how to clinically apply ultrasound to detect those diseases/defects. The Sonographer's scanning skills must be accurate and decisive in all testing environments. Responsible for managing all assigned supplies and equipment on the unit. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke's mission and values.
Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Sonography Program
Licensure: Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(S) in the state of Missouri within 6 months of hire
