• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status, identifying their strengths and needs.
• Provide therapeutic interventions employing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
• Actively collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure a holistic and coordinated care approach.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health diagnoses, treatment options, and medication management.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions aimed at improving mental health and emotional well-being.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans in partnership with patients, incorporating their goals, preferences, and feedback.
• Navigating the complexities of the mental health system for patients, advocating for their rights and necessary services.
• Lead therapeutic groups and psychoeducation sessions, fostering a supportive environment for all participants.

Your work will primarily involve patients receiving hospice care, who often face emotional distress related to end-of-life issues. You will provide support for both patients dealing with terminal illnesses and their families, helping them navigate the psychological complexities of grief, loss, and emotional transition. Tailoring your therapeutic approach to accommodate the sensitive nature of this population will be vital in fostering resilience and coping strategies.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
• Proficient understanding of various mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and crisis intervention techniques.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

• Previous experience in hospice care or end-of-life counseling is highly beneficial.

The role offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000–104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
