Three Rivers Mental Health Clinic is seeking dedicated and passionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) to join our team in providing essential mental health services to children and families. This is a full-time, remote position that focuses on delivering in-community therapy to support children facing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to children with developmental and behavioral challenges either in-home or via telehealth.
• Implement strategies to reduce high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression, through teaching anger management, coping mechanisms, and social skills.
• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team to develop treatment plans tailored to each child’s unique needs and to ensure a cohesive approach to therapy.
• Document all relevant client interactions including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes in a timely manner, adhering to clinic policies and deadlines.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss case progress and provide insights for treatment improvements.
• Engage with the caregivers to enhance decision-making capabilities, thus addressing behavioral issues effectively within the home environment.
• Advocate for clients within the broader community and support families in accessing additional resources when needed.

Your therapy sessions will primarily focus on children aged 3 to 20 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, or intellectual challenges. The role emphasizes the importance of integrating caregivers into the therapeutic process, as you work to empower families with the skills and resources necessary for in-home support. You will have the opportunity to make a profound difference in the lives of children with developmental disabilities and intellectual issues, guiding them towards improved emotional regulation and social interactions.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Possession of an active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours of 4-7 PM, with flexibility for weekend sessions being a plus.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for community-based sessions.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents, especially those with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).
• Experience in providing positive behavior support strategies is highly desirable.

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive pay, we offer:
