Job description

Advanced Practice Provider - Cardio Oncology, CHVH

Exceptional care, simply delivered, is what sets Community Health Network apart and what makes us a leading not-for-profit, provider-led, multi-specialty healthcare destination in central Indiana. We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join one of the nation's most integrated healthcare systems, with over 1,300 providers in Indianapolis, IN. This opportunity is located at our Community Heart and Vascular Hospital and Community Hospital East.

Community Health Network is seeking a board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a well-established cardiology team at our Indianapolis, IN locations — Community Heart and Vascular Hospital and Community Hospital East. We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced APP, or a new graduate with recent nursing experience in cardiology or oncology settings. Community was the first provider in Indiana to offer a multi-disciplinary Cardio-Oncology Clinic, a personalized heart care destination for cancer patients. The goal of the clinic is to help patients complete their cancer treatment while mitigating cardiovascular impact. We focus on early detection and treatment of potential cardio-toxicity from cancer therapy and aggressive cardiovascular risk-factor reduction throughout a patient's cancer journey in partnership with MD Anderson.

Become an active team member in the outpatient Cardio-Oncology Clinic located at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital and at Community Hospital East. Collaborate with our Cardio-Oncology physicians to provide services including:

  • Conducting cardiovascular risk assessment prior to cancer treatment
  • Care of cancer patients with existing cardiovascular disease
  • Management of cardiovascular complications during cancer treatment
  • Aggressive risk-factor modification in cancer survivors
  • Testing and monitoring for cardio-toxicity including stress testing, echocardiograms, and cardiac MRI

Experience:

  • Experience in Cardio-Oncology is preferred
  • Educational background consistent with requirements for licensure and certification in the state of Indiana; must maintain eligibility for prescriptive authority

Headquartered in Indianapolis, Community Health Network has been deeply committed to the communities it serves since opening its first hospital, Community Hospital East, in 1956. Now with more than 16,000 caregivers and 200 sites of care, Community Health Network puts patients first while offering a full continuum of healthcare services, world-class innovations and a strong focus on population health management. We are guided by the mission: "Deeply committed to the communities we serve, we enhance health and well-being." At Community Health Network, we build teams that deliver exceptional care through empathy, communication and collaboration. We consider ALL an integral part of the exceptional patient experience. We PRIIDE ourselves on not having employees but Caregivers. Join our Community as we make a difference in your community.
