Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION
EnFin is a financial services company that provides financing for residential solar PV and energy efficiency upgrades, backed by the PV panel manufacturer, Qcells. Through its extensive dealer network, EnFin offers consumers a variety of loans and TPO ("third-party owned") products that help to make the purchase of an energy system more affordable. EnFin funds its business by selling and/or pledging residential solar receivables to complex funding vehicles. These vehicles are funded by Third party investors that include large asset Senior Managers, investment banks, and insurance companies. EnFin is looking for a talented individual interested in building a career in renewable energy finance to join the Structured Finance team. The Senior Manager will assist in executing transactions with investors across the capital stack-including equity, debt, and tax equity. The Senior Manager will help in all aspects of capital raising-from early investor outreach, to deal and project management, to data management and cash flow modeling.
This position will be based out of one of our offices in Irvine, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Teaneck, NJ, with a potential in-office schedule set at the direct Senior Manager's discretion in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Remote may be considered in exceptional cases.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Raise capital to fund the growth of EnFin's residential TPO business in alignment with Company goals and annual targets.
  • Assist in deal execution with JV/debt/tax equity investors in accordance with Company standards and practices.
  • Review and revise legal documentation as needed for investor-related deals as well as other finance matters including c omplicated JV, debt, and tax equity legal documents.
  • Assist in developing and delivering presentation materials for investor calls and meetings that are thorough, accurate, and attentive to specific business needs.
  • Assist the Asset Management Team in preparing borrowing requests and executing tranche sales.
  • Foster a productive relationship and work closely with external stakeholders including third party appraisers, insurance providers, and independent engineers.
  • Perform both recurring and ad-hoc analysis to support Senior Management and Leadership of the Capital Markets Team.
  • Articulate EnFin's TPO business and strategy to third party investors ensuring to highlight and explain the most critical aspects.
  • Build and maintain complex project finance/tax equity models to present to internal and stakeholders as well as Leadership.
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining a close linkage between capital costs and market pricing.
  • Develop, teach and provide guidance to junior members of the team ensuring they are performing work according to best practices and standard procedures.
  • Foster collaboration, mentor and develop junior team members, and ensure collective growth in domain expertise.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering or related field with a minimum of 8+ years of work experience including 5+ years of experience in project finance or structured finance at a top-tier developer, asset Senior Manager, or investment bank.
  • Passion for renewable energy and the adoption of rooftop solar.
  • Relentless intellectual curiosity and unwavering attention to detail.
  • Experience in MS Office Suite and Excel (Pivot tables, functions, & VBA).
  • Ability to learn how to use new tools such as AI to enhance efficiency.
  • Unparalleled work ethics and ability to research, identify and troubleshoot problems independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt and work well in a fast-paced, "start-up" work environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience building and maintaining complex project finance Excel models.
  • Basic understanding of consumer lending, credit underwriting, and renewable energy finance.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or SAS.
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer or renewable energy finance.
