DISA Business Process Engineer

Job Description

Forge is hiring a Business Process Engineer that has experience with International Acquisition /Security Cooperation programs. This position will support the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) International Relations and Engagements Branch. DISA's mission is to conduct Department of War (DoW) Information Network operations for the joint warfighter to enable lethality across all warfighting domains in defense of our nation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides subject matter expertise and analysis to analyze, document, and re-engineer business processes related to International Acquisition โ€“ including but not limited to Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Technology Release and Foreign Disclosure (TRFD), International Engagements, International Agreements, Program International Acquisition, and training coordination.
  • Documents current "as-is" business processes, workflows, and systems; identifies bottlenecks, redundancies, and inefficiencies in current processes.
  • Designs and proposes "to-be" business processes that are more efficient, effective, and aligned with DISA's strategic objectives.
  • Develops and presents business case analyses for proposed process changes, including cost-benefit analysis and risk assessment.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to develop and implement new and improved business processes.
  • Develops and implements performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of International Acquisition processes.
  • Establishes a system for continuous monitoring and reporting on process performance.
  • Develops functional requirements for new IT systems or enhancements to existing systems.
  • Assists with the implementation and integration of new technologies.
  • Leads cross-functional workshops and meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Develops and executes a communication plan to ensure all stakeholders understand process changes, their roles, and the anticipated benefits.
  • Creates and delivers training materials to ensure successful adoption of new processes and tools.
Qualifications/Requirements

We are looking for candidates with the ability to think strategically, act tactically, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. They must also build strong cross-group working relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The Candidate must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. We are looking for candidates with an active DoD Secret Security clearance, at least 3 years of experience in business process analysis/improvement and familiarity with international acquisition/Security Cooperation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • US Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university
  • An active final DoD SECRET security clearance
  • 3+ years of experience with business process improvement/analysis/reengineering
  • Experience supporting/ managing international acquisition / Security Cooperation programs
  • Proficiency with process modeling, analysis and data analysis tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Effective interpersonal communication and the ability to build collaborative business relationships both internally and externally
