About the role: 
Reporting to the Director, Endoscopy Business Development, the Sr. Manager, Endoscopy Business Development, will identify and execute strategic acquisitions, investments, and other partnerships.  He/she will work with division leadership and divisional/corporate functions to assess new markets, identify and evaluate target companies, disposition inbound opportunities, manage relationships with potential partners, conduct due diligence, develop potential deal structures and financial models, and make actionable recommendations for the Endoscopy division.  

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Develop and maintain deep understanding of Endoscopy division's franchises, adjacent opportunities, and strategic goals.
  • Act as point of contact for outside parties approaching Boston Scientific and coordinate interactions with potential partners. Provide detailed meeting reports (including guidance on strategic fit, potential financial impact, and key risks) to key stakeholders and coordinate next steps internally as appropriate.
  • Identify and coordinate internal resources required to evaluate opportunities and conduct due diligence. Manage cross-functional teams consisting of representatives from Marketing, R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, and other functions as appropriate. 
  • Collaborate with Finance team in developing financial models assessing company valuation and financial returns analyses.
  • Develop and deliver presentations for division and corporate leadership to justify moving forward with potential partnership opportunities.
  • Support deal execution, including determination of structures and negotiation of offers and definitive agreements with counterparties.
  • In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. 

Required Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree. 
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Finance, Marketing, Strategy, and/or Investment Banking in the healthcare domain (medical device experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional projects.
  • Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies, legal agreements, and due diligence best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience with complex financial modeling, including market, revenue, and investment models.  Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into strategic, cohesive, and succinct business plans. 
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling and engaging presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to positively represent Boston Scientific with external parties (companies, bankers, VCs, etc.).
  • Excellent strategic and critical thinking skills.

Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
