You'll manage a team of Business Development Representatives, coach them toward excellence, and work hand-in-hand with our VPs of Sales and Marketing to refine how we bring our tools to campaigns, nonprofits, and advocacy organizations nationwide.
This is a player-coach role - you'll set strategy, develop talent, and roll up your sleeves to help crack new markets when needed.
What You'll Do

  • Develop and iterate on outreach sequences, messaging frameworks, and targeting strategies for Civitech's core segments
  • Collaborate with Marketing to align on campaigns, content, and inbound lead flow

Process & Operations
  • Build and maintain a healthy, well-documented sales pipeline in the CRM
  • Regularly audit and review our current outbound processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement
  • Continually iterate on sequencing, messaging, and tooling to optimize conversion rates and adapt to changing market dynamics
  • Analyze outreach performance data and share insights with Sales and Marketing leadership
  • In collaboration with sales leadership and ops/enablement, establish and evolve playbooks and training materials that scale team knowledge as we grow

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with the broader Sales team to ensure smooth handoffs from qualification to close
  • Work with Product to keep the BDR team informed on new features and tools
  • Serve as a voice of the market - surfacing prospect feedback to inform product and messaging

What We're Looking For
  • 3-5+ years in sales development or business development, with at least 1-2 years in a management or team lead capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to coach BDRs to hit quota and grow their careers
