Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Outpatient Psychiatry | The Neuropsychiatry & TMS Group
Brandon, Florida
Position Summary
The Neuropsychiatry & TMS Group (TNP) is seeking a compassionate and clinically driven Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing outpatient psychiatry practice in Tampa, Florida. This position provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment for adult patients experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions.
The PMHNP will work collaboratively with psychiatrists and clinical staff while supporting advanced treatment modalities including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato® (esketamine) for treatment-resistant depression. TNP is recognized throughout the Tampa Bay area for providing innovative, evidence-based psychiatric care focused on improving patient outcomes and quality of life.

The practice specializes in psychiatric medication management, TMS therapy, and Spravato treatment for patients experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and other psychiatric conditions.
Essential Responsibilities
Clinical Care

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for adult patients.
  • Diagnose and treat a broad range of psychiatric disorders, including:
  • Major Depressive Disorder
  • Anxiety Disorders
  • ADHD
  • PTSD
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Panic Disorders
  • Other mood and behavioral health conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychotropic medications.
  • Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Advanced Treatment Support
  • Evaluate patients for advanced treatment options including:
  • Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)
  • Spravato® (Esketamine)
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to monitor patient progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment options and expectations.
Qualifications
Required
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current and unrestricted Florida PMHNP license.
  • Current DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to start date.
  • Board Certification as a PMHNP (PMHNP-BC).
  • Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and psychiatric diagnostic evaluation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
