How You'll Add Value:

As a Business Analyst for Azenta Life Sciences, you will support the Azenta Limfinity Sample Management System (ALSMS) and Tableau and manage the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), for both platforms. This Business Analyst will partner with internal subject matter experts, external customers, internal Sales and Marketing and network within Life Sciences community to maintain and improve function of ALSMS and Tableau for SRS business at Azenta.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide Commercial, Technical, and Training of custom interface, including creation of compliance documents as needed during stakeholder analysis and work with stakeholders to define needs

  • Document requirements, and support stakeholder organizations in writing and executing of test scripts

  • Provide technical support for the development and implementation of training

  • Act as a leader as needed to mentor and transfer knowledge to Sample Repository Services team

  • Provide project management to ensure project stays on schedule and within defined scope

  • Develop and document reporting requirements

  • Creation of dashboards for internal use and distribution

  • Generate custom reports Investigate system bugs Support continuous process improvement through ideas, analytics, content creation, etc.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Prior BioBank or Laboratory operations experience is highly preferred

  • Knowledge and experience with ALSMS and Lifes Science inventory databases

  • Knowledge of the end-to-end workflow for BioBank and Lab Services

  • Ability to map a process and knowledge of value stream mapping.

  • Experience with Snowflake preferred

  • Programming experience preferred

  • Aptitude to convert user input into clear requirements.

  • Ability to translate technical information into competent training and compliance documents and stakeholder/customer requirement documentation for both internal and external customers

  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate between the product development team and the Biobank teams

  • Demonstrable track record of analyzing issues with a focus on problem solving looking through many lenses

  • Exceptional customer focus, strong troubleshooting, problem solving skills, practical "can do" attitude and desire to delight customers with great solutions

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of standing or sitting

  • Sitting, Reaching, lifting, bending, pulling, and additional motion/mobility requirements as needed

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Right- and left-hand finger dexterity

  • Ability to discern colors or use of color correction glasses

  • Ability to work with refrigerants (e.g., dry ice and LNs) using proper PPE

Your Working Conditions:

  • Employee will be working in an area with potentially infectious materials

  • Employee will be responsible for maintaining a clean work environment and enforce and follow Universal Precautions for bloodborne pathogens when working in an area considered to be potentially contaminated
