Job description

SUCCESS IN STORE. We have an open position for a Full-Time Bilingual Cashier Customer Service Rep. fluent in Japanese in our Hilo Retail. Primary responsibilities includes: contributing to the success of Big Island Candies by creating the most pleasant experience possible, providing, for starters, exceptional service to all of our customers. An ideal day shift only position.Essential duties include (but not limited to):Greet arriving customers with an authentic smile and a warm welcome; assist shoppers, for example answering questions about our products and services;Help resolve customer concerns in a professional, positive, timely manner;Maintain open lines of communication, not only with employees to keep a cohesive work environment, but with other departments as well, to ensure various products are made, and in turn, available for our customers to purchase; report any issues or concerns to Managers;Operate Point-Of-Sale computer for all sales and return transactions; enter into computer system and process in-store sales orders for pickup and mail order;Replenish the store and stockroom with sufficient inventory; maintain accurate inventory counts; stock merchandise neatly and promptly throughout the work shift;Assist with other store-related activities as needed, so an adaptable/flexible nature is essential.Other duties as assigned or required.Physical requirements include (but not limited to):Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.Frequent standing and walking during the duration of the shift.Bending, lifting and stretching while stocking, including ability to climb a stockroom ladder.Working Hours:HILO Store hours are: Sunday thru Saturday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Shift schedule is subject to change, based on operational needs (example: during cruise ship days 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., etc.). Must be available to work a full daily shift plus one day on the weekend and holidays.Must be available to start before and after normal business hours for opening and closing task as assigned.Extended hours during monthly inventory, and peak seasons throughout the year, for example, November and December.
