About The Team
The Product Development Team at Gotion Illinois New Energy Inc. focuses on the design and development of advanced battery products for next-generation energy storage system (ESS) and electric vehicle (EV) applications. We lead the full product development cycle, integrating mechanical, electrical, thermal, and control system to create high-performance battery solutions, along with comprehensive system integration, validation, and certification activities.

Role Summary

The Project Manager - Battery Systems will oversee and progress the overall execution of EV HV Battery Pack projects for customers in the Americas region, ensuring achievement of all GPDP development objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop detailed project plans, define stage-specific deliverables and goals, and ensure timely project execution
  • Establish and manage project meeting mechanisms; organize and facilitate relevant meetings
  • Serve as the main customer interface - gather and confirm customer requirements, communicate them to internal teams, and coordinate the development of implementation plans to meet customer expectations
  • Coordinate materials, logistics, prototype builds, and testing resources during the trial and validation phases to ensure smooth project progress
  • Identify project risks, align internal resources to drive resolution, and ensure effective communication across relevant stakeholders
  • Lead design and development reviews throughout all project phases
  • Manage sample build and delivery activities at each development stage

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Management
  • 3 Years of EV Battery Pack Program Management Experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work in a high-pace highly complex cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to quickly comprehend complex problems and effectively facilitate the team to a decision and coordinate the action plan

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves)

  • Understanding of technical fundamentals on Battery Pack and systems
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000.00 - $146,000.00 + 15% bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
