Position Summary
The Audiovisual Technician III serves as the technical leader for enterprise audiovisual systems. This position designs, implements, administers and supports complex AV technologies while establishing standards, leading projects, and mentoring technical staff.
Position Duties
  • Enterprise Technical Leadership
    1. Serve as technical lead for enterprise AV systems
    2. Develop AV standards and best practices
    3. Provide highest-level technical escalation.
    4. Evaluate emerging technologies.
    5. Recommend capital improvements
  • Systems Engineering
    1.Design integrated AV systems.
    2. Programs and configures AV control systems (e.g., Neat, Crestron, Extron) and DSP audio systems.
    3. Conducts testing and validation of new hardware and software prior to deployment in production environment.
    4. Performs quality assurance checks on all hardware and software prior to implementation.
    5. Manage firmware lifecycle
    6. Review architectural drawings and construction documents
  • Mentorship and Documentation
    1. Mentor Levels I and II
    2. Coordinates with team members and leadership to identify areas requiring new or revised training and documentation.
    3. Create technical procedures.
    4. Actively maintains knowledge of departmental processes, procedures, and system configurations relevant to job duties
