Job description

Position: Procurement Manager (Automotive)

Report to: BU GM

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Develop, manage and lead the sourcing team (Automotive) in North America, to identify and develop qualified low-cost suppliers, focus on new supplier sourcing, qualification, price negotiation and vendor management.


Responsibilities:

- Globally source electronic components, PCB, Sheet metal, plastic parts, cable assembly.

- Source test and assembly equipment for production plant

- Request and negotiate price quotes and delivery time, primarily in North America Region.

- Achieve yearly cost down target.

- Monitor department and company goals for which sourcing has responsibility.

- Coordinate procurement of special material for special projects and engineering samples for new technology.

- Implement supplier changes, monitor their success or failure, and adjust as needed.

- Familiarize with new technology that would be used in a production manufacturing facility.

- Work with PMC, RD and QA to improve material supply performance.

- Develop and manage cost reduction program.

- Manage and bring up team.

- International travelling.


Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree and above.

- Minimum 10 years similar working experience in multi-national manufacturing company.

- Experience in automotive or 3C electronics industry is a must requirement.

- Familiar with electronics component is preferred.

- Global supplier development experience is preferred.

- Good initiative of work, self-driving, result oriented, powerful and confidence.

- Good in communication, negotiation, decision making, networking and innovation.

- Good in oral and written English.

- Good inter-personal skills and team player.
