As a Product Manager, you will serve as the bridge between customers, design, engineering, marketing, and sales, ensuring products are strategically developed, successfully launched, and continuously improved to drive growth and customer satisfaction. You will define the product vision, features, and requirements that exceed customer expectations and business objectives. Success in this role requires strong planning, execution, and leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams through the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond. The ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines is essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop product roadmaps and strategies, deliver business cases with ROI analysis, and prioritize features for new and refreshed products.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, target audiences, industry trends, and competitive offerings, while maintaining the active product catalog.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of the competitive landscape and product offerings.
  • Establish competitive pricing strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Design and implement product marketing strategies, including personas, positioning, and messaging, as well as writing product copy.
  • Collaborate with sales leaders to develop sales strategies and provide product training and demonstrations.
  • Create and execute coordinated launch plans with product development, operations, supply chain, planning, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Ensure timely product arrival and replenishment while monitoring quality control and resolving issues.
  • Conduct dealer audits and review websites to ensure accurate product representation and effective use of marketing collateral.
  • Prepare and present forecasts, performance reports, and analysis to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and external partners, holding them accountable for on-time and on-budget project completions.
  • Represent Gator Co. at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Stay current with industry knowledge through workshops, publications, and professional networks.

Qualifications amp; Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in the musical instrument (MI) industry with knowledge across major categories, including pro audio and video, keyboards, recording, DJ, guitars, and audio cables.
  • Proven expertise in managing the full product lifecycle.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of the competitive landscape and track competing product offerings.
  • Proficiency with product management tools (e.g., Wrike, Sage, Airtable, pricing, and database systems).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills with strong Excel and PPT proficiency.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience at trade shows and presentations for executive briefings.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and make effective decisions independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive under pressure and deliver results within strict timelines.
  • Passion for music, performance, and creative industries strongly preferred.
