Application Development - Advisor I
About your role:
As an Application Development Advisor I, you will provide technical leadership for Azure-based software development within an Agile scrum team. You will partner with engineers, product stakeholders, clients, and leadership to translate requirements into secure, resilient, and scalable applications and application programming interfaces (APIs). Your work will help deliver reliable cloud solutions that support business priorities, strengthen operational performance, and improve the client experience.
What you'll do:
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack applications, APIs, and related software solutions in Microsoft Azure using .NET, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks
  • Translate software requirements into Agile user stories, technical tasks, and implementation plans that support sprint delivery and product goals
  • Support Azure application deployments, configuration, installation, and release activities using continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and deployment automation tools
  • Troubleshoot application, integration, and configuration issues across development and production environments and implement corrective actions to improve stability and performance
  • Build and maintain cloud-native services using Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Azure SQL
  • Apply secure development practices including code scanning, identity and access management, encryption, authentication, and authorization controls across the software development lifecycle
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and share knowledge across the team to improve collaboration, supportability, and delivery consistency

Experience you'll need to have:
  • 6+ years of experience in application development using .NET and C# to build, test, and deploy APIs, websites, and related software solutions in Azure cloud environments
  • 6+ years of experience developing full-stack applications using ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, TypeScript, and Angular or React in enterprise environments
  • 6+ years of experience working with Azure services including Azure App Services, Azure API Management, Azure Functions, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Azure SQL
  • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, Docker, and related DevSecOps tools
  • Experience implementing secure software development practices using code scanning and software composition analysis tools such as Fortify, Sonatype, or equivalent application security tools
  • Experience developing and consuming REST services using JSON, OpenID Connect (OIDC), Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), and related integration standards
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
  • 1+ years of Fiserv systems experience

Experience that would be great to have:
  • Experience using Terraform or similar infrastructure as code tools to provision and manage Azure resources
  • Experience supporting application resiliency, disaster recovery, and performance tuning in cloud environments
  • Experience working in environments aligned to Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP), Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA), and Zero Trust Architecture requirements
  • Experience using Python or similar object-oriented language for automation, tooling, or service development

How you'll work:
  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Salary Range
$110,000.00 - $186,000.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
