Job Description

The Application Engineer will act as consultant and provide support to 3rd party and end-customer developers concerning questions on the Gateway, Sensors or Analytics solution. The candidate will work across the organization and requires active communication with internal partners. Strong customer support skills along with the ability to write clear and concise technical documentation is a must. Candidates must have broad technical ability across hardware and software. 

Qualifications
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline 
  • 5+ years of experience in platform/software development, validation, or support. 
  • Significant Linux skillset, preferably with embedded Linux software development. 
  • platform-level application development or scripting and debug (preferably Java and C) 
  • platform enabling experience and understanding of software stack from FW/BIOS, boot loader, OS, driver, network to application. 
  • familiar with Network protocols and how to debug 
  • familiar with implementing software in the cloud 
  • experience dealing with and managing customer escalations 
  • demonstrated ability to listen, understand, and communicate professionally to customers
