Job description

Job Summary/General Purpose of Job

  • The Program Associate assists in the design and development of programs, projects and activities of the entity.  Responsible for the implementation of programs and projects under the supervision of the program director or manager. Held accountable for the successful execution of assigned programs/projects.
  • The Program Associate, Antitrust, will be responsible for the facilitation of the Section’s meetings and conferences by maintaining accurate records of program related activities, managing volunteer needs and requests, and providing administrative support to the Program Manager and high-level volunteers as needed.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)

  • Implements one or more programs or projects, includes participation in program/project planning, and ensuring compliance with ABA policies.
  • Manages on-site registration for events and provides administrative support throughout the planning process. 
  • Responsible for conference reporting, payments, and membership audits.
  • Oversees CLE accreditation for all conferences.
  • Analyzes project/program performance throughout the process to ensure projects move forward in a productive manner.
  • Serves as a point of contact for projects. Communicates with member leaders and staff, including reporting on progress and results.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of vendor requirements prior to and at in-person events.  Coordinates with others on joint projects.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Required Education, Qualifications, Experience

  • Possession of a high school diploma or GED and at least three years’ relevant professional experience.
  • Prior experience working with programs or projects, preferably in an association or non-profit setting.

  • Experience, preferably in an association or non-profit setting.  Research, writing experience, and meeting planning experience. Fundraising or grant application experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Typical office work environment.

Extent of Travel Required in the Job

  • As a normal course of business, this job will require travel several times a year.
