Animal Nutrition Manager

In this role, you will be part of the Animal Nutrition team Bnlx France and responsible for the management and development of products and services for the Animal Nutrition and Petfood sectors. You will be responsible for the customers in the Bnlx France region, business development, and marketing. You will be responsible for achieving the sales targets and projects in collaboration with the Animal Nutrition Team.

In this position, you will report to the Business Manager Animal Nutrition West. You will work together with a team of like-minded colleagues and your primary objectives will be to develop and execute product and supplier strategies to achieve profit and volume growth, develop new business, and optimize the financial performance of existing business.

The position holder can be based in one of our offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, or France.

Responsibilities:

Driving Business Results:

Full accountability for delivering key business statistics (gross profit, volume, inventory);

Creating and executing product group, product, and supplier strategies, including volume targets, gross profit, and other commercial objectives (in collaboration with product management);

Negotiating contracts, making agreements on volume bundling.

Supporting the Business Manager Animal Nutrition West in achieving the budget targets for the agreed product portfolio in Bnlx / France.

Product and Business Development:

Identifying and realizing new products and suppliers. Leveraging customer and market potential to achieve growth;

Supporting the sales growth of the product portfolio;

Providing product market information to internal stakeholders and assessing product performance;

Providing input for improvements in the supply chain.

Leadership/Relationships:

Developing strategic and operational relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within the relevant customer communities;

Developing strong relationships with internal colleagues and having the ability to lead and influence without direct authority;

Leading an internal network for local product management and business development focused on the product group to ensure the delivery of the strategies.

Job Requirements

Education:

Masters degree (e.g., Animal Sciences, Biochemistry, Veterinary Medicine) or equivalent educational level.

Work Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales to large and complex, multi-country/regional customers;

Experience in Animal Nutrition is a plus.

Personal Competencies:

Providing technical and application advice;

Track record in developing strong and influential business relationships;

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as cultural sensitivity;

High level of analytical and conceptual thinking;

High level of self-motivation and the ability to create opportunities to generate business;

Taking ownership and meeting deadlines;

Enthusiastic, determined, and motivated;

Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Language Skills:

Knowledge of French and English (spoken and written) and Dutch is necessary.

Mobility: This position has a mobile character; approximately 50% of the working time will involve travel.
