Job description

As a K9 Handler at Platinum Pest Solutions, a pest control company specializing in multi-family and commercial properties, you will work with specially trained dogs to detect bed bugs. You will be responsible for handling, training reinforcement, and maintaining the well-being of your assigned K9 partner while ensuring accurate and efficient inspections for clients. Your role is essential in delivering high-quality pest detection services and maintaining the integrity of the K9 program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough bed bug inspections using trained K9s in multi-family and commercial properties.
  • Maintain the health, care, and daily well-being of the assigned K9.
  • Reinforce training exercises to ensure peak K9 performance and accuracy.
  • Accurately document and report inspection findings to the appropriate teams.
  • Follow industry regulations and company protocols for K9 handling and detection services.
  • Educate clients on inspection results and recommended next steps.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure proper working conditions for inspections.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in K9 handling, scent detection, or pest control is preferred.
  • Strong bond with animals and understanding of K9 behavior and training techniques.
  • Ability to follow protocols and accurately assess K9 alerts.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
