Job description

As a Software Development Manager (SDM) at Amazon Security, you will build and lead a team of software development engineers delivering security services that help our largest customers adopt AWS technologies quickly and operate them with confidence.
Your team will design and build proactive security solutions at scale, working across AWS services and internal teams to reduce risk, accelerate secure adoption, and protect customers who have the highest security bar. You will own the technical direction, delivery, and operational health of these services from inception through production.
Key job responsibilities
What you'll do:
- Hire, develop, and manage a team of software engineers focused on building security services for AWS customers
- Define and drive the technical roadmap for the team
- Partner with AWS service teams, security organizations, and field teams to build solutions that scale
- Set a high bar for engineering quality, operational excellence, and customer outcomes
- Translate ambiguous customer and business problems into clear engineering plans with measurable results
